“Fun” and “Fellowship” were the key objectives, and both
were met on Friday, August 20 at the Fourth Annual Fighting Dutchmen Gridiron
Golf Outing. The event drew a
record-setting 104 golfers to the Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park and
raised over $15,000 to help support the football program.

The only thing that was not accomplished was winning the
2004 BMW Z4, which four-year sponsor Steve Picarazzi of Capital Cities Imported
Cars, was dying to give away for a hole-in-one on the eighth green. Other than that, the golfing was fantastic
and the post-golf luncheon was outstanding.
Head football coach John Audino, his entire staff, the 2004
Dutchmen players and the Gridiron Club would like to give a big “thank you” to
all those who participated, sponsored the event, or sent in a donation.

Next year's outing is scheduled for Saturday, August 6
at 1:30 p.m. at Van Patten's.
