Every organization seeks, well,
exposure.
So it figures that the streakers
from Hamilton College
who bared all at Union's Homecoming on Oct. 1 have a web
site: www.hamiltonstreaks.com.
According to the site, the Union appearance
was the season debut for the Hamilton College Varsity Streaking Team, which is
not listed among the College's athletic programs. The team's fall schedule
began Sept. 10 at Colgate with a “scrimmage,” whatever that means.
The site features a journal from runs
at 12 colleges between Oct. 1 and 5, photos, a short film and a call for more photos.
It details several detainments by campus security officers, a few run-ins with
campus tour groups and a highlight at Middlebury, where the hosts joined the
visitors for a jaunt through a dining hall.
The team made appearances at all NESCAC
schools and a few other close associates such as Union
and Wellesley, according to a press
clip on the site from the Hamilton Spectator.
“We mean no disrespect,” says one
organizer. “We wish only to illuminate, to dazzle, to amuse and astonish. And,
of course, streaking is wicked fun.”
