The Union women's ice hockey team will help Lt. Governor Mary Donohue kick-off the holiday season on Sunday, Dec. 5, at Empire State Plaza at the annual lighting of the tree and fireworks.
The team will lead a group skate from 4 to 4:30 p.m. at the Plaza's outdoor rink. The session is free and open to the public.
The Holiday Tree Lighting and Fireworks Festival runs from 2 to 6 p.m. The event will also feature storytelling, holiday arts and crafts for
the kids, and visits from Santa Claus and Valleycat's mascot South Paw.
The Albany
Housing Authority Community Choir will perform.
