Union College President Roger H.
Hull has been named to the boards of directors of the Albany-Colonie Regional
Chamber of Commerce and the Center for Economic Growth.

Hull is one of 15 area executives recently
chosen to serve for three-year terms on the chamber board. The Albany Chamber
is comprised of more than 2,900 businesses and not-for-profit organizations in
the Capital Region.

The Center for Economic Growth
(CEG) promotes efforts to attract high-tech talent and bolster local
businesses, not-for-profit, academic, and governmental organizations.

“Tech
Valley is no longer just a slogan;
it's real,” Hull
said. “The future success of the region depends to a large extent on having
broad participation from – and collaboration among – all sectors of the economy: business,
education, and government. In addition to research universities, undergraduate
colleges like Union fill a critical need for
well-rounded leaders skilled in the application of technology and at home in
the world. Just as importantly, our higher education institutions do much to
create a vibrant, culturally diverse environment. I look forward to continuing
to support the region in the years ahead.”
