Wilfried Wilms,
assistant professor of German studies, talked about “The Bombing of Germany:
Taboo, Repression, and the Politics of Memory.” Prof. Wilms
was a guest speaker at a colloquium
series and symposium commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of World
War II and the 150th anniversary of the founding of William
Paterson University
in New Jersey.
The series, “The Second World War and the Twentieth Century: War, Culture, and
Memory,” features international speakers discussing specific aspects of World
War II and its commemoration.
