Kurt Hollocher, professor of geology,
authored a primer on moon rocks and soil that was featured in an article from
an on-line news digest from Science
Magazine. Over several years, Hollocher borrowed
“Lunar Petrographic Thin Section Sets” from NASA,
offered as part of their educational outreach program and available on loan
from the Lunar Sample
Curator. He used the sets in his undergraduate Petrology
