The awards keep rolling on in for players for the
Dutchwomen's basketball team as senior forward Katlyn Cunningham and junior
guard Erika Eisenhut picked up the Liberty League's “Forward” and “Guard” of
the Week, respectively.  The duo helped
Union to a 3-0 week, including key Liberty League wins at Clarkson and St.
Lawrence.

Katlyn Cunningham

Cunningham, who picked up her second award in eight weeks,
scored a layup with 5:57 left to play against St. Lawrence to start Union on a
18-3 run that would see the Dutchwomen erase a 13-point deficit to defeat the
Saints, 58-56, in a battle of Liberty League leaders. Cunningham scored 15 of
the Garnet's final 18 points to finish with a game-high 26 markers as the
Dutchwomen took sole possession of the first place while avenging the only loss
from last year's league championship. Cunningham had 39 points and 18 rebounds
in the three victories.

The Clarksburg, Massachusetts, native goes into this
weekend's home league games against William Smith and Hamilton with 987 career
points and looks to become just the seventh member of the Dutchwomen's
1,000-Point Club.  She is also eighth on
the career rebounding list with 552.

Cunningham is currently third in the league's overall
scoring department with her average of 12.5 and fifth in rebounding at 6.5
boards a game.

Erika Eisenhut

Eisenhut, meanwhile, scored 36 points with 14 rebounds,
seven assists, and six steals in the three victories.  She had 14 points, including the winning basket with one second
left, in Saturday's game at St. Lawrence.

The Mohawk, New York, native took over the Dutchwomen's
all-time lead in three-point field goals, she now has 103, surpassing the
previous record of 96 set by Taryn Scinto ('04).  Eisenhut is currently second in the Liberty League with her
assist to turnover ratio of 1.13, third in three-point field goals made (1.47),
fifth in assists (3.06), ninth in steals (2.41), seventh in three-point field
goal percentage (.301), and ninth in scoring (10.8).

The Dutchwomen, who are the Liberty League's defending
regular-season and tournament champions, go into the weekend with a 7-1
record.  St. Lawrence, Rensselaer and
William Smith (with handed the Garnet it only circuit setback, 73-59) are all
5-2.

Friday night's 6 p.m. showdown against William Smith marks
the 100th game for since seniors Cunningham, Melissa Marra
(Mechanicville, NY), Eileen Lowry (Wyckoff, NJ)
and Emily Scott
(Concord, NH)
first put on a Garnet uniform.  The Dutchwomen own an overall record of 75-24 (.758) and a
league record of 38-12 (.760).
Union's last non-winning season came in 1999-00 when the team was 13-13
overall.  In the last six years
the Dutchwomen boast an overall record of 106-46 and a league record
of 53-23
BOTH of which figure out to a winning
percentage of .6973684
.
