The numbers are in, and the news is good.

“We had our largest applicant pool ever, it was the most-competitive year to gain admission, and the academic quality held steady at last year's all-time high,” said Dan Lundquist, dean of admissions. In addition, “admits were the most racially and geographically diverse, and we are nearing a 50/50 gender balance. We're in very good shape.” A total of 562 Class of 2010 students are expected. The College received 4,373 applications (143 more than last year).

Meanwhile, there's no rest for the crew at Grant Hall: “We are already one-third through the next cycle, having begun working with high school juniors in earnest this January,” Lundquist said.
