Social activities and discussions about academic life at Union are among the events scheduled Saturday afternoon through Monday for Multicultural Weekend.
“This year we have 150 students signed up to visit Union, and we want to make it a great weekend,” says Hectór Léon, director of Multicultural Recruitment. “We welcome any students, faculty or staff who would like to volunteer their time.” Contact Léon at leonh@union.edu or Teran Tadal at tedalt@union.edu for more information.
The weekend coincides with a Fall Open House on Monday, Columbus Day, when Admissions staffers will welcome prospective families and their families.
There will be a luncheon in Memorial Fieldhouse from 12-1 p.m. and division receptions from 12:30-1 p.m. Faculty can sign up for the luncheon by e-mailing Lilia Tiemann at tiemannl@union.edu.
And about parking: You know the drill – please park in peripheral lots to leave on- campus spaces for the guests. The next Open House is set for Friday, Nov. 10.
