Campus Action will show the award-winning David Zeiger documentary, “Sir! No Sir!,” Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Old Chapel.

The film gives a soldier's perspective of the Vietnam anti-war movement, detailing defiance and dissent in the military and releasing unseen archived documents.

With support from an Intellectual Enrichment Grant, this showing is dedicated to Jeff Sharlet (1942-1969), founder of Vietnam GI, one of the first GI underground anti-war newspapers, and brother of Political Science Professor Robert Sharlet. Prof. Sharlet will be on hand to discuss the film.

“Sir! No Sir!” is part of Campus Action's bi-weekly film series with Schenectady Neighbors for Peace. For more, contact Campus Action at progressive@vu.union.edu or visit http://www.vu.union.edu/~progressive or www.sir.com.
