Come out and celebrate the nationally recognized academic and athletic career of Erika Eisenhut, who completed a stellar three-sport career at Union College last June, and now has been selected as one of six winners of the Woody Hayes National Scholar Athlete Award by the University & Northwest Sertoma Club of Columbus, OH.   We will share an informal breakfast with the Eisenhut Family. Union College Athletic Director, Jim McLaughlin ’93 and Sports Information Director, Eric McDowell will also be on hand to meet alumni parents and friends.

Erika Eisenhut excelled in soccer, basketball, and softball. She received the Union President’s Commission Senior Athletic Award.  In soccer, she was 1st Team All-State for three years, NSCAA/ADIDAS 1st Team Regional All-American in 2005-2006; was a UCAA First Team All-Star as well as and Liberty League First Team All-Star in 2005-2006. In basketball, Erika was UCAA First Team All-Star in 2003-2004 and Liberty League First Team All-Star in 2004-2005 & 2005-2006. She has a 3.826 in mathematics and psychology and was on the Dean’s List 2003 through 2006. She was the Eastern College Athletic Conference Robbins Scholar Athlete in 2005 & 2006 and the NYSWCAA Scholar Athlete in 2006. Erika was Division III First Team Academic All-American in Soccer 2005-2006. She also received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and was an NCAA Woman of the Year Finalist. Erika was involved in the America Reads Program, and Big Brothers – Big Sisters. She mentored local 5th grade girls and a Girls Scout Troop.  She worked on Habitat for Humanity and Relay for Life 2005. She also volunteered as an assistant soccer coach for a U-12 club and volunteered at Valley Health Services. Erika is working on her Masters Degree at Union Graduate College while serving as a graduate intern in the Union Department of Athletics.
