Admissions, with balloons

Each spring, Union invites high school juniors to campus for the popular Junior Jump Start Open House, which helps prepare students for their upcoming college search and application process. This year’s program will be held Monday, May 28, and close to 600 visitors are expected to attend.

They’ll be treated to an array of information, including remarks about the college process, financial aid tips and an overview of Union’s engineering and science offerings. Also in the mix are tours and a session on writing memorable college essays.

Just for parents, there are tips on surviving the college search.

How can you help? The Admissions staff needs faculty and staff volunteers for the noon luncheon at Memorial Fieldhouse. To sign up, contact Lilia Tiemann at tiemannl@union.edu. For more on the program, visit www.union.eduJuniorJumpStart.
