Rolling for Autism features Union College students and alumni rollerblading from Florida to Maine to raise money and awareness of autism.

Imagine rollerblading from Florida to Maine, all in the name of autism awareness.

Well, that's exactly what a group of Union College students and alumni are doing this summer.

“Rolling for Autism” raises money for scholarships, schools and camps for those suffering from the disorder.

Along the way, participants will be collecting money, and stopping in small towns and cities to voice their cause.

Founder Dan Tatar said, “It's important that not only the money is there from the government and other agencies but that people are aware that are not involved with autism and are also providing opportunities for those people.”

Autism is the third most common developmental disorder in the US. The group has set its fundraising goal at $500,000
