Senior Scholarly Activity Award: Recognizes one female who displays outstanding scholarly activity in her field
Senior Thesis Prize (2): For women and men whose thesis makes the greatest contribution to scholarship on women and/or issues of gender and sexuality
Senior Athletic Award: Honors one female who has done the most to promote athletics for women at Union
Community Service Award (2): Honors women and men who have furthered the cause of women, gender equality and acceptance of sexual orientations at the College
Athletic Promise Award: Recognizes a freshman or sophomore who shows the most promise in women's athletics
Senior Scholarly Activity Award: For the student who displays outstanding scholarly activity in her field
Submit nominations to Matsue at matsuej@union.edu Please include student's name, ID number (if available) and a short statement. Send supporting materials to Matsue via campus mail. Nominations are due by Tuesday, March 28. Prize Day is May 6.
A drawing by Chris Duncan, professor of visual arts, is included in the group show of works on paper, “Moving Ahead,” at the Bruno Marina Gallery in Brooklyn through April 9. The gallery is located at 372 Atlantic Avenue.

The two legendary masters will explore these complete sonatas for violin and piano, composed between 1878 and 1888. They are: Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Major, Op. 78; Violin Sonata No. 2 in A Major, Op. 100; and Violin Sonata No. 3 in D minor, Op. 108.

Laredo has been called “a musician's musician” and “a violinist of profound musicianship,” while Fleisher has been cited for his “miraculous tone.” The New Yorker calls him “one of the incorruptible legends of his profession.”
