Garnet and Gray: FYI — Freshman send-offs

Posted on Sep 1, 2002

Members of the Class of 2006 were welcomed into the Union community with Freshman Send-off Receptions, hosted by alumni and parents all over the country. Freshmen met other incoming students from their areas and chatted with current students and alumni who told them how much they have to look forward to as they begin their Union careers.

We would like to offer a special thanks to all of our hosts for opening their homes to our newest students and their families.

Garnet and Gray: FYI — Annual fund goes up

Posted on Sep 1, 2002

Thanks to your generosity, the 2001-2002 Annual Fund ended strongly, finishing with $3,701,349, an increase of 1.5
percent over the previous year's total
of $3,645,633. Alumni participation showed a slight decrease, from 40
percent to 39 percent.

Unrestricted giving accounted for $2,367,944, providing greater flexibility
for the College to meet immediate priorities and needs. The total number of donors to the Annual Fund was 10,481, with alumni donors numbering 7,517.

Listed elsewhere are the names of the volunteers whose efforts made this success possible. Without their dedication of time and energy, and your generous annual response, the Annual Fund would not be the success that it is each year. Thank you for your commitment to Union.

Garnet and Gray: FYI — “We’ll be calling you soon!”

Posted on Sep 1, 2002

That's the message from John Moses '53, national chairman of the Union College Annual Fund, and the Union College Affiliates this fall.

Please be generous when called by a Union student. Take a moment and tell them what you're doing with your Union degree, and ask them about their course of study and what is happening on campus. The Union College Affiliates
enjoy talking with all alumni.

Your pledge of support can be restricted to your favorite program or purpose;
just tell the affiliate during the call.

On behalf of the entire campus constituency, thank you for supporting
the Union College Annual Fund.
