There has been a change in the ad hoc committee considering the tenure of Nicholas Krouglicof, assistant professor of mechanical engineering. The new committee includes: Frank Wicks (mechanical engineering), Steven Rice (biology), Peter Heinegg (English) and Michael Rudko (electrical and computer engineering), chair. There are several changes at the Becker Career Center this year. The following individuals have new positions and titles:
Rochelle Caruso, associate director, career education, leads the team that provides career advising to undergraduates and conducts seminars and workshops.
Janet Mattis, associate director, internship development, cultivates long-term relationships with employers and coordinates off-campus recruiting events in Boston and New York and the funded internship program. Her new office is in the Carriage House of Abbe Hall.
Judi Gordon, experiential education coordinator, manages U Connect career networking events, employer/graduate school information sessions on-campus interviews and the eRecruiting calendar and student/employer registration system.
Kate Fishman, career education coordinator, provides undergraduate career assessment, exploration and planning and conducts career education seminars and workshops.

All faculty and staff are invited to represent their Minerva or department at the annual John Calvin Toll Day of Community Service on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Volunteers will meet at 9:45 a.m. at Old Chapel circle and work until noon. Prizes will be awarded to the group with the most volunteers, with each volunteer receiving a $5 coupon for local stores and restaurants.
