Stanley Black and Decker Research Fellowships

Thanks to a partnership with Stanley Black & Decker, we are able to offer summer research opportunities to Union students on-campus during the summer of 2019.

Project proposals for the Stanley Black and Decker Fellowships should investigate topics relating to “Manufacturing 4.0” which may include areas such as: automation, cloud computing, blockchain technology, “Internet of Things,” augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and other networked or computing technologies.

To apply, please use the online application form, and check the appropriate box indicating that the proposed research is eligible. The research proposal should include a brief section explaining how the proposed research is connected to the future of manufacturing.

The Undergraduate Research Committee will select students for the fellowships from the pool of self-identified applicants. Students who are considered for the SBD fellowship but not selected will automatically be considered for ordinary college-funded research fellowships.
