The MakerWeb is offering mini-grants to both Maker House students and the Innovation Fellows. These small grants are for $100 each, per year, and can be used by individuals, or grouped together for larger team projects. This funding is intended to cover supplies used in events that are held in conjunction with the MakerWeb. For example, if someone wants to hold a parametric 3D modeling workshop for Union students, I can provide a 3D printer, and the $100 would cover filament used. If 3 of you want to work together, you can request up to $300 for supplies. If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit a letter of interest to Amanda Ervin at ervina@union.edu. Include a description of your project, a date for your event, a list of equipment you will need, and a statement about how you think this workshop will help development the Maker community at Union College. The deadline to apply for this grant is February 10, 2017.
