Team Wild Thing
We have on board an interdisciplinary team of computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and biomedical engineering students.
Dr. Cherrice Traver
Dr. Cherrice Traver is the advisor of the UMobility Project. She is David Falk and Elynor Rudnick-Falk Professor of Computer Engineering at Union College. She received her BS in Physics from the State University of New York at Albany in 1982 and her PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1988. She has been a faculty member at Union College in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department since 1986, and directed the Computer Engineering program from 1997 to 2005.
Pyae Sone (Patrick) Aung
Patrick is a senior studying Computer Engineering and Quantitative Economics at Union College. His senior thesis is on the UMobility Project, in which he improved the control system of the first prototype of the UMobility and made it an open source product.
Matthew Jones
Matty is a sophomore Mechanical Engineering student at Union College. He has experience working for a contractor doing a lot of custom projects along with the basics. With his expertise in working with wood, metal, and other various building materials, Matty joined Team Wild Thing to work on the seating structure of the UMobility.
Benjamin Davis
Ben is a sophomore studying Electrical Engineering at Union College. With experience working with wood, aluminum, steel, and other materials, he joined Team Wild Thing to help construct the seating structure of the UMobility.
Matthew Georgiades
Georgie is a sophomore studying Biomedical Engineering at Union College. He chose Union because of its great engineering program as well as the opportunity to play lacrosse. On Team Wild Thing, Georgie is working on the construction of the seating structure of the UMobility.
