Mission Statement

As the number of vehicles and population increase, parking will be increasingly more difficult to find. Although Union College has a relatively small student body, there often are few open parking spots around campus. This problem is much worse when it comes to the parking lot at Reamer, possibly due to the number of parking spaces, its popularity, and convenient location. Indoor Testing Results

An indoor miniature parking lot was implemented in order to easily test the system, which can be seen below in Figure 12. This indoor testing environment was built using tape to represent the parking spots, a table and box to hold the Raspberry Pi and camera in place over the spots, and two remote control cars representing vehicles parking.
