The Kelly Adirondack Center provides Union with an extraordinary resource for expanding multi-disciplinary studies of the Adirondacks. The College’s strengths in natural and social sciences, arts, humanities and engineering allow students and faculty to develop a multi-faceted understanding of the Adirondacks and the region’s attendant issues, challenges, and opportunities.

An interdisciplinary lecture, performance, and concert series that focuses on topics and issues related to the Adirondacks.

The Adirondack Art Series

A series of art exhibitions focused on the Adirondacks.

Adirondack Week

A program offered during the spring term that features lectures, excursions, panel discussions and events dedicated to the study of Adirondacks.

 

Summer Research Fellows

This program offers students the opportunity to pursue an independent research project on a range of Adirondack related topics.

Announcing 2016 Summer Research Fellowships

The Kelly Adirondack Center (KAC) funds two eight-week summer fellowships. The goal of the program is to support students doing scholarly work on the Adirondacks under the guidance of a faculty sponsor. Preference will be given to students submitting proposals for work using collections of the Adirondack Research Library (ARL). Jordan is from Ballston Spa, NY and will be a senior at Union College this fall. She is an Environmental Science and French double major with a minor in Environmental Engineering.
