Prodigal, 2018 32″ x 20″ / 37″ x 25″
Entry 3: Prodigal
The triptych shows the father’s
Thornwood rod, the son’s shed skin of rough lament
(What else might he sing, a minor blues)
And the fractured branching of mercy.
Almost in defeat, reaching down. But the shadows tell another story:
Redemption’s saw-toothed jaw.
