Entry 3: Prodigal

 

The triptych shows the father’s

Thornwood rod, the son’s shed skin of rough lament

(What else might he sing, a minor blues)

And the fractured branching of mercy.

Almost in defeat, reaching down. But the shadows tell another story:

Redemption’s saw-toothed jaw.
