It is a 1.5 mile roundtrip hike ascending to an elevation of 1,240 feet and to one of the grandest views of the Schoharie Valley. A shorter, steeper trail is also available and is best for descent. Once owned by the Vroman family, this was also a sacred site for native peoples. Nearby Schoharie Creek received much attention during late August and early September of 2011 when the region was struck by tropical storm Irene and hurricane Sandy.

Distance: 35 miles, 50 minutes from Union College
