A presentation on the history of the relationships between people and the large, charismatic mammals of the Adirondack region. How has human culture affected populations of deer, moose, bears, wolves, cougars, and others? How have these creatures figured in the popular imagination? And how have they thrived, declined, or disappeared as Euro-Americans altered Adirondack ecosystems?
