The Control Panel is the panel that slides in on the left side of your screen. It gives you an example of a color palette, allows you to change the texture overlays on your background, and allows you to change the text fonts. All of these changes are site-wide.
But sometimes this panel just gets in the way and you’re constantly closing the window.
To disable the Control Panel, go to:
Dashboard | Appearance | Theme Options | General Settings | General tab
Scroll to the bottom and locate the “Show Control Panel” box.
Click on the button to disable the Control Panel, and the button will switch to say “This is disabled.”
Scroll to the bottom and <Save> your changes.
